My Approach

My investment approach is holistic with a focus on short- and long-term goals, as opposed to day-to-day movements or fluctuations. In order to determine a proper investment strategy, I seek to understand what is propelling my clients toward a certain goal, whether that is retirement, a second home, a college education, or something uniquely their own. With these questions answered, I am able to develop a personalized plan for my clients.

My Philosophy

My first objective is to help my clients mitigate risk to their wealth and employ strategies designed to grow their wealth over time. Investments should provide an income stream either in the form of dividends for equities or interest payments for fixed income. My goal is not superior investment performance, but superior “risk-adjusted” performance. It’s important to seek to avoid unnecessary risk and let the winners take care of themselves. This philosophy works in tandem daily with my clients’ wealth management and retirement plans.

“Asking the questions WHY and WHAT …”

  • Why are you saving money?
  • Why have you chosen a particular investment?
  • Why aren’t you putting money into your retirement plan?
  • What is your plan for retirement?
  • What strategies have you utilized in the past, and why did you utilize those strategies?
These are some of the questions that are used to generate a better understanding of my client’s financial situation.

Changes in market conditions or a company’s financial condition may impact a company’s ability to continue to pay dividends, and companies may also choose to discontinue dividend payments.
